Introduction:
Every year, we celebrate January 26 as our Republic Day in India. It was on this day, in the year 1950, after Indian Independence, our constitution came into force. India was declared the Sovereign Democratic Republic. Even though the full and independent constitution of India was drafted and submitted soon after Indian Independence, it was only on January 26, 1950, the government of India adopted the model under the ‘PurnaSwaraj” movement. In rejoicing the day, January 26th is observed as Indian Republic Day.

Celebration:
Republic day in India is celebrated all over the country with elation and with great fervour. However, most of all the happiest celebration shows happen at New Delhi, the capital of India. A parade is held, wherein people from all walks of life assemble at the Rajpath to the Red Fort, where the President of India takes the Salute and hoists the Tricolor Flag.
Additionally, another procession starts from Vijay Chowk. Here, all the wings of the defence forces, the Army, the Navy, and the Airforce will take part with various displays of ammunitions, tankers, and big guns. The bands also play a variety of tunes. Along with these brave people, the N.C.C cadets and the police will also participate and display theirs in the parade
The Republic Day is celebrated on January 26 every year to mark an important day in the history of all Indians. India became an independent country on August 15, 1947 and then on January 26, 1950, the Constitution of India was established and the country was declared as Sovereign, Secular, Socialistic and Democratic Republic nation. This day reflects all the struggles of the people who fought for Indian independence.

In this parade, the Armed Forces display their vigor, enthusiasm and weaponry. It is followed by a cultural presentation by the States and Union Territories of India.
